There seems to be some confusion and mis-information going around about Helps Outreach. I am sending this message to get it cleared up.
First of all, Helps Outreach is not closed and has been up and running all through the pandemic. WE ARE OPEN. If you are in need of assistance, please call us at 239-593-3226. and someone will gladly assist you in any way we can.
We are still accepting donations of clothing, household, etc. Furniture pick-ups are on hold for now but will resume shortly.
This is an update as to the possible confusion and mis-information.
Joe and I both came down with covid. It is with a heavy heart that he has passed and joy knowing that he has gone to be with OUR LORD. He passed on Sept 2nd. He was on a ventilator for 2 weeks, but his body was just too weak to fight this disease.
I was hospitalized for 5 days and was discharged on 100% quarantine for the next three weeks due to a very weak immune system, but getting stronger everyday. Needless to say, I am dealing with quite a lot right now, but will be back at the Outreach as soon as I possibly can.
In the meantime, the Outreach is still up and running. Our director of operations, Yolanda, is in full charge along with our amazing and very dedicated volunteers. You can always call the Outreach for any questions may have or for more details.
Thank you for understanding and I hope this will clear up the mis-information that seems to be going around. WE ARE OPEN AND HERE TO SERVE YOU WITH YOUR NEEDS. We are open Mon, Tues, Thur, Fri from 10 am to 3 pm but it really helps if you call for and appointment to have a definite time.
